I am trying to run 4 guage wires straight off my battery. Only question is, where can I feed it through my firewall?

i ran my 4 gauge through a grommet that right above the pedals. its very high and you can only see it way back in the back of the engine bay. i think there was another wire/cable running through there. i just ran my power wire off the input of the engine fuse block, so i didnt have to run it all the way over to the battery.

I used the tranny shifter cable grommet... which is probably the one he's talkin about. The shifter cable linkage runs up to it, and you can pretty easily pick it out on the drivers side of the firewall... Take a flashlight, and look back along the left front strut tower... can't miss it.

i ran mine up through the fender and by the door. There's a gromet with no wires or anything ... more of a plug actually... that we cut a hole in and fed into the passenger's side of the dash it's about 2 inches higher than your feet rest on the passenger's side. Seems like an ok place the door doesn't shut on it or anything and it's completely out of the way

i believe the grommet up on the driver's side of the firewall is the speedo cable actually...

Can't you see it when you open the doors??/ won't it be exposed to the elements there??????

i suppose so but it's back out of the way. It's not gonna get shut in the door and stuff. I figgered it'd be the same there as it would be under the hood

I just ran mine through the Passenger-side-door plug as well, it actually lines things up nicely for a straight shot back to the trunk. The only annoyance I ran into was somewhat under the passenger kickpanel where I discovered what I believe is the factory audio amp. (made a mental not to make this dissappear at some point in the not-so-distant future) It was a little tight trying to route it near there.

You want it to be completely hidden. What you do is get on the drivers side. Its right above the pedels...way up there. You take a screw driver and search for spots around the grommets. You shove your screw driver on the side and push out the way. Have your wire ready to run. That should help. You got to start from the inside. Make sure there is no connecters on the end.
